Sermon Notes
Shining Bright in a Dark World
Philippians 2:14-16
Like a match lit in a cavern, we are to be small, faithful, distinct lights in a world overwhelmed with darkness.
“Do everything…”
“Do not complain…”
Your past forgiven, present secure, future guaranteed.
You live in America.
“Do not argue…”
Humility is not a personality trait. It is a spiritual discipline.
“…so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.”
The darker the world, the brighter you will shine.
You are someone’s “North Star”
“…holding fast the Word of Life”
To shine you must stay connected to the source.
You won’t change the world. You will change someone’s.
“…I did not run or labor in vain.”
