THE HEBREWS AND THE LAND

Thesis:

The land was given by grace.

The land was lost by sin.

God’s promise to Christians is much better than land!!!

The Bible is one great big story of God redeeming His Creation!

Genesis 1-3, Creation, the fall, the consequences.
Genesis 6-8, The flood after “every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was evil all the time.” Then, a promise of “never again,” and “seed time and harvest.”
Genesis 11, Mankind’s ultimate rejection of God’s rule and the origins of civil government.
Genesis 12, God’s use of “covenant” with “promise” and the blessings of “faith” are realized in Abraham’s story. All the covenants of the Bible are related to the coming of Christ to redeem all mankind!
