Forgiven People, Forgive People
Ephesians 4:31-32
“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Why Should I Forgive?
It acknowledges a wrong was committed.
It allows one to be a victor, not a victim.
It is a practical way for one who needs forgiveness to live.
It is the only road to freedom.
It is more than a good idea. It is a direct command.
How Do I Forgive?
Remember who you are. Remember who they are.
Pray – for yourself, for them.
Surrender all rights to get even.
Remind yourself that you forgave.
Replace bad thoughts with good thoughts.
